EU regions: Frankfurt (eu-central-1), Ireland (eu-west-1), London (eu-west-2), Milan (eu-south-1), Paris (eu-west-3), Spain (eu-south-2), Stockholm (eu-north-1), Zurich (eu-central-2). Customer content is encrypted and stored at rest in the AWS Region where it is used — it does NOT move outside the selected region. AWS European Sovereign Cloud (separate product, Germany-based, AWS entities exclusively in EU) available for maximum data sovereignty.
No customer inputs or model outputs stored or used to train models. Data not shared with third-party model providers. This is contractually guaranteed — no opt-out required because no training occurs by default.
AWS explicitly states: customer inputs to and outputs from Amazon Bedrock are not used to train Amazon Nova, Amazon Titan, or any third-party models. Fine-tuning data remains encrypted in the AWS Region and is not used to improve base models.
Certifications & EU AI Act
AWS has a general EU AI Act compliance page. No specific published EU AI Act provider-role compliance declaration for Bedrock as of verification date. Monitoring status reflects absence of a published compliance declaration equivalent to Microsoft's.
Verification
Broadest model marketplace of the three cloud platforms, offering models from 13+ providers including Anthropic, Meta, Mistral, Cohere, DeepSeek, and Amazon's own Nova series. Customer data never leaves the selected AWS Region and is never shared with model providers — contractually guaranteed without requiring any opt-out. CISPE Code of Conduct adherence provides additional EU-specific cloud privacy certification. AWS European Sovereign Cloud (separate product) provides dedicated EU-only infrastructure with EU-only AWS entities. Sub-processors page lists extensive EU infrastructure entities. SCCs are automatically incorporated into AWS Service Terms.
